True, but I am pretty good about knowing when enough is enough. I am borderline there now, as far as power. I also plan on getting a garage car when this one is paid off, either a Shelby vert, or Challenger (if they are any good). So I don't "need" to go overboard with my stang.

Just the sound/look of a S/C is attractive, and I thought if I didn't do that the suprise of some boost would be fun also.

My issue is that I am happy with my 93 race tune CAI... but I want a little bit more power. Not sure if I need enough to justify a S/C. N20 sounds good, but I have never been in a car with, or even dealt with it. My N20 experience is at best from the "Fast and Furious" movies

Just trying to figure out which would be the best route to go, N20 or S/C... or just stick with what I have.
Looks like there is a new alternative for 4.0L heads & cams -

These are too new to tell how well they might do on a NA or FI motor. But ranebowcyxx got 270rwhp with his centri-spec cams & heads from PowerHouse (that's NA folks!). That's almost as much as what some 4.0L-FI guys are getting...

Now that is sexy and definitely catches my attention. I wonder what it sounds like? And the centri-spec cames/heads from PH, got a link/price on those? What other mods was he running to get 270rwhp?

ranebowcyxx doesn't regularly post here, but he does visit every so often. Shoot him a PM to find out all the details. You'll have to contact Mike @ PH directly, as the heads/cams are not off-the-shelf. Their availability is limited. And a dyno tune is required.

Thanks just shot him a message. The performance shop I visit down here just keeps telling me to throw n20 on it, or swap it out for a V8, but I like having a 6, I think its more unique to have a fast 6er than just an 8.

Just trying to figure out which would be the best route to go, N20 or S/C... or just stick with what I have.

My system is set up so that it won't spray under 2500 rpm, and only at wide-open throttle, in 2nd and third gear, and I have a nitrous-specific tune. Those are what I consider "safeguards". Your basic nitrous system under $1000 won't come with safety features like the window switch or the air/fuel controller. My system cost me just under $1800--installed w/tune.

My goal was to get under 14 seconds, and I feel that this was the most economical way to do it. I'm not a street racer, so I'm satisfied with having a 13.7 second "track car" and a 14.5 second "daily driver". I don't abuse my car-- and the nearest 1/4 mile track is 2 hours away--so I rarely use the system. (There is an 1/8 mile track about 30 minutes away which I'll try when it opens.)

Cams and heads are options-- but then you're talking major tear-down-- and if you don't have the knowledge or tools, the labor is high. Plus, I haven't read enough about that and I don't have the money to experiment with it and be the "pioneer."

I could spend the money on a supercharger, but I'd rather have a GT. The deal I made with myself was that if I didn't think that nitrous was satisfying enough, I'd just get a GT-- rather than spend more money on the V6.

Hope this helps!
