Default louvers and tire ?'s

so how are louvers installed any way....can I do it myself?

also the tire question is can 18" rims fit on my 06 V6? and how wide can they be? like will 18x9's fit or 18x10's or even 18x10.5's

thanks

Most louvers are taped on, with the exception of the Silver Horse Racing flush mounted louvers, which replaces the existing window. I know one member who installed the SHR louvers himself, but any glass shop could do it for you for a small fee.

I'll let others chime in on the 18's...

Sure you can put 18s on, or even 20s.
18x9 works great, I have them all around, with 255s.
You can go with 10s on the rear, and wider tires on the rear too.
Be sure and get the correct offset.

Most louvers have brackets that install with double sided tape. Very easy to do yourself.
Some just stick onto the car with double sided tape (no brackets) but those are impossible to clean behind.
There's one kind that replaces your windows completely. Cool, but harder to install. Can still be done at home.

I have 18x9's in the rear with a wide offset of 24mm, so they stick out. You can view my rims/tires plus the sizes by clicking the link in my signature.

The 18" size is not what matters most.
Its the offset, rim width and tire size that matters when talking proper fit.
All the above intermingle with each other and the sum of them all is either
fit or no fit.
18x10" 50mm offset with 295/30-18s is a no go on the front for sure.
I have 18x8.5" 50mm offset 255/45ZR18s up front with no problems as of yet.

18's fit, and I bet welding plastic to your car was a pain in the butt huh?

20's are heavy and are a much more harsh ride.

He could have welded metal louvers on...

20's do look awesome but I've had enough of the harsh ride and occasional wheel damage that comes with running rubber bands for tires.

Hey Siberian - got any color pics of that car?

Velcro for those louvers.
Easy on/off for cleaning
or just swapping it up a
bit once the cops have
your #. Kinda keep em
on their toes.
