Lately I've been driving about 75% highway / 25% city and mine doesn't have the computer so I always calculate manually (most accurate) and I've been getting 24-26. During winter I was letting the car warm up in the mornings and I noticed a big drop in MPG's.

Check it manually as I've heard the computer isn't very accurate at times

I've done a few mods to mine that helped with mpg gained 2 mpg with a single gt take off muffler and a fram air hog filter. Then i put in a Granatelli coil and wires and picked up another 1 to 2mpg. I dive 40 miles one way to work and its a 1500 foot drop so all up and down mountains some highway some stop and go in my mountaineer I get 14 -15 mpg same trip my mustang is up to almost 28 (27.7) Oh i also switched to full syn oil but saw no real difference in that. would like to try a throttle body change to see if i can make it to 30

It sounds like a goverment lecture, but maintaining proper tire inflation has a HUGE effect on mileage with these cars. They're not aero shaped featureless bubblecars, and you don't want to add high rolling resistance on top of that.
Hey Paul....

Most of us at the club know better... During our cruises you do not get anywhere near that 28 mpg, when all i hear is that X-Charger whine.... )
I usually get about 21-23 mpg, mostly highway and some city. I used to get about 26-27 mpg combined before I started modding two years ago.... I usually average only about 320 miles on a full tank before my ligth comes on.... Bummer....

Got me there. Yes, I can drop the average significantly when I'm "playing". It is soooooo worth it though

A good 87-octane tune along with a cai and better muffler (or duals) will get you more mileage; mine increased about 2 mpg on highway for speeds 70-75.
Around town, the lead foot will get you and hurt your mileage.

Mine's getting 18.5mpg average in the city: Only thing I've done is CAI and Tune, exhaust.
