jus put a new chin spoiler but doesnt really go with the side skirts. im thinking bout buying GT painted takeoffs but do they go on perfectly on our stangs? im also thinking bout simply taking them off. if anyone can has pics of GT takeoffs or with no side skirts please post.

GT takeoffs look exactly like they look on a GT. You cannot run without side skirts unless you like looking at the welded body seams.

Can the GT rockers be painted to a different color to match? I heard the material they are made off doesn't allowed it, is that true?

yes they can be painted to match. I was looking into replacing mine not too long ago, but ended up simply repairing them instead. One of the Ford dealerships online (TousleyFordParts.com) said that they come without paint for about $94 a piece, plus shipping. If I recall correctly, NewTakeOff.com has them painted, while a pair of them costs $140.

Cars now are mostly plastic covers over a small amount of metal. Not like the old days. My old 79 Camaro was all metal exterior aside from the bumper covers. The rockers were all metal and welded as part of the body. I know cause when I bought it I found it had a dent in one of the rockers. Someone must have hit a sidewalk at some point.
