Default GT Takeoff Quote

I recently picked up a pair of GT Takeoff mufflers for a steal. I believe it's the appearence package, and I can't wait to get it installed.

I called a local exhaust shop, and they told me for the H pipe, and all the labor and stuff it'd be $500 for the install. Is this steep? I know the shop is reputable, everyone raves about them in my area.

$500 seems like a lot to me, but maybe it's not.. what do you guys think?

Well it's a V6, so I thought since I only have one muffler now they'd have to do something to make it into a dual.

I don't know how to do any of that lol

I had my local Midas shop put together a custom H-pipe for $250. Everything is welded and is as tight as a drum. I prefer this over the bolt-on parts. It's usually worth it to pay a bit more for quality work, but $500 does sound way too steep. Maybe you could look around.

Remember to take the Pypes bumper cut-out template with you. Some shops will do the cut and some will make you do it yourself.

$500 is definitely too much. I'd even turn $250 down since the only material they're providing is the Y or X pipe and the driver's side midpipe plus a few clamps and hangers.
