I got my 05 premium vert with 25k on it for $14,900 last summer. A v6 Mustang with over 60k should be under $10k

I know I'm comming into this convo late but Like you Matt I was in the same boat. When I was 16 I got the 1999 v6 mustang. Great first car, and was still powerful enough to do what I wanted. I did have a few moment of (wish this was a v8) but money didnt allow it, and overall I would say a v6 mustang is a great start. I'm 24 now and am finally trading in my v6 mustang for a new 5.0. I say go for the v6 now, then Gt later. Worked great for me.

Just my 2 cents

Oh, and I am now planning on getting collision too. Its a $10 a month difference between v6 and v8 for me on my parents plan. I cant seem to find a v8 for under 12k. If I could get one for 12k, my monthly payment would be $50 more than with the v6.. thats not a huge deal. I really really want the 05 GT but price just isnt playing out..

Cause he's got a point.
And since you can't fix stupid, I rather be ignorant, lol.

To go back on topic, I don't think anyone with the 4.0 regret buying it, since it's mostly because they can't afford the extra dough for the V8 or they simply don't care about the V8.

True but his point is a good one....$17k for a '10 v6 with 13k miles is way better than an '05 v6 with 62k miles for $12k. Thats only a $5k difference to get a '10 with 1/6 the miles... No brainer to me.

When I had my '10 GT , saw the '11 V6 at dealer 3 months ago w/ the price, the 10 HP difference, then saw had 6 spd., 3.31 rear, dual pipes, 18 " wheels, the new steering system , then eveything else same as my GT I told guys in my club, if that '11 V6 was there when bought my '10 GT I would have moved on the 6.........then 3 months later I was there at dealer for something, saw the race red V6 MCA Edition, I said lets talk....that said here's what dealer said, I'll do this....leave all your mods on GT and I'll give you 5.0 for same price as the V6, Or take off your mods bring car back and take V6 same price, I'm not racing, drive daily, already been down that road of stopping every 4 days for gas. I took the 6, 9 days between fill ups now and having more fun, so I could have rolled on 5.9 same $$, but happy with 6, to me and only my opinion 5,0 had the power sure but sort of boring lol.

Or go to the dealer and get a real low mileage one for even less. You should really do some shopping around. I wouldn't touch either of those cars for those prices.
I agree. Surely you must have more than one Ford dealer in your area that you can bargain for a better deal.
I bought mine brand new for $19K and it's a Pony Package with the interior upgrade.
