I have 4.10's in my 7.5, I just want the 8.8 and no more gear whine, the guy I bought it from has an '05 that are shooting for 750rwhp, he showed some pictures of it to me and I started drooling.

Yea when I saw it there was no way I could pass it up, just can't beat that price and I only had to drive 70 miles to get it

So I think Im gonna paint the new rear-end black before putting it in, I think that will look better than a partial rusty rear-end.

If the 8.8 is out of an 05 and it has 4.10s, someone
installed them aftermarket and the potential for whine is high.
Be sure and get that pinion preload properly set with a new
crush sleeve when you put the Cobra flange on.
Its not the easiest of operations...

8.8 is now in, sounds good, there is zero whine from the gears when driving, I am not use to that. Always use to a whine that would drone out everything and now my exhaust is the noticeable noise from my car. Also, from the guys who have done the swap anything to keep an eye on when it comes to issues.
