I own an auto and a manual. That being said my advice is don't settle on something you don't want because you're too impatient to allow time to find the right vehicle. Do some research and find the car you really want. If you want a manual, get a manual and settle for nothing less.

Drove both and the auto is a waste

But it never seems to go the other way... Manual to Auto... Things that make you go Hmmmmm.
