Can't disable Hill Start Assist?

Found this on the web...

Tried it twice on my car and it didn't work. Also the disabling portion of the instructions are not included in my 2013 V6 manual.

All I could think while reading that article was "Jeez, just buy an automatic if you can't manage a stick..."
