Default adverse effects??

I am looking to buy new wheels and tires for my 2000 gt. I still have stock gears but plan to upgrade eventually to 373 or 410. I like the looks of 18 inch wheels much better than 17s. Will 18s hurt my handling at all? Will they slow it down? Is there a substantial weight difference between 17s and 18s?

I prefer 18" on Stangs. I run them and have lots of choices on tires and will not have any adverse effects on handling. I am sure you could do some looking around and save some weight between different wheels. I would be willing to bet you dollars to doughnuts you could drive both and not feel any difference.

With that said, if you find two pair of wheels you really like and cannot decide, buy the lighter set

I don't know, as it is all relative. Find a couple pair of wheels you like, and compare. Keep in mind, you have to look at the car every day, so get the ones that you like best
