I really wish I could find some place to paint the lights for me here, but nobody I called would do it. I'd try myself, but that's a big investment if I screw it up, not very experienced at painting Getting some vinyls instead, hopefully they turn out alright.

You have to take off tail lights and get them painted, they use special paint, the light shines threw good, I have had no problems with the law. Most body shops can do it or u can buy a whole new set off ebay painted. They look like normal tail lights but smoked.

search ebay, I bought my set from ebay, so I have both smoked and original.

The guy that people here have bought from on ebay hasn't had anything for the '10s yet, and said it'd be expensive for him to do a set for me. Local shops seemed to be really scared of doing it as well. Only place I found was about 65 miles away, bit of a last resort.

Alright, dudes, you convinced me. The tail lights will stay how they are, until something better becomes available.

There's a guy near me that might be able to do the smoke paint. I'll run that by him one of these days.

Also, I would have responded earlier, but this rediculous blizzard was occupying my day. As it would turn out, Mustangs and snow don't get along well at all.

Stupid snow.

i actually got pulled over yesterday for my tailights being black but the cop was cool and had 3 stangs so i just talked to him for a little while then he let me go...didnt help i kinda tried to race him from the stoplight. good thing i didnt get a ticket. if i were you i would go get them done just like the white stang, but since yours is black i would just paint them all black. here is something you can do which is how i did mine. go to auto zone and find this stuff called nightshades. its a kind of spray paint. just make sure your lights are really clean and spray layer after layer untill you are satisfied. i put a total of 6 layers on mine and then i took it to ford bodyshot where i had my guy spray clear on them for free and they look amazing now! that would be your best bet if your tint doesnt work out. SORRY this pick really sucks. and yes i know its not a 2010.

It's quite simple to smoke taillights if you have the right equipment. I used to smoke alot of my friends' taillights before I got out of the Auto Body Business. All I did was take clearcoat and mix in a small amount of black basecoat. I could keep adding coats of paint until they were the desired darkness. Light shines through the paint almost as brightly as stock as long as you don't make the lights too black. I think body shops won't do it because of liability reasons and because it's pretty much illegal in most states.
