To the OP you said you paint models? ever use a airbrush? I would just get a pint of dupli color ready to spray flat black from advanced auto or what ever auto place you like and spray it with an airbrush it is a one step enamel and will look better and last longer then a spray job plus you can just get a cup of there premixed ready to go clear and clear it too just get what they call dull clear will be fine. JMHO

i do have an airbrush, but the tips shoot a fairly fine line, and i don't have the other tips. I picked up some rustoleum flat black wheel paint. the finish is just like hot rod flat black. Im letting the scoop sit for a week so the paint can harden up.

*worst case senerio, I take the scoop off and get it professionally done if it starts to look bad.*
