Mustang 05 GT engine Swap Question
Hi everyone I got a question not long ago I got an srt-8 Engine on ebay from a totaled charger srt8 for my dodge magnum. The engine costed me 3.8k and I sold the 5.7 I had for 3.5k . Anyways down to the point will the gt500 engine be a direct drop in as the hemi was or do they change engine mounts, transmission connections or anything else? Just wanting to be educated so when I spot one from a crashed gt500 (hope who ever crashes doesn´t get seriously hurt or anything like that) I know if it is a drop in or not

RE: Mustang 05 GT engine Swap Question
no he saying he put the srt 8 motor in to what I assume to be the dodge magnum he has already. And wants to know if the gt500 motor will swap into the GTs as easy as the swap was in his magum.

RE: Mustang 05 GT engine Swap Question
BTW, I just recently read that the Shelby uses something other than the Spanish Oak processor. I can't remember what it was called, may have been English Oak? There are rumors it will be in all of the next gen Mustangs. In any event, it will complicate the installation of a Shelby motor in a regular Mustang. Of course there's always a way, I saw pics of a Ford GT (as in GT40) motor installed in a V6 Mustang.
