RE: THANKS FRED!!!!
Just out of curiousity, how does the tunes from EVO cost? I have B ama now but would like to compare. I can feel a huge difference with the B ama tunes, the car would pull harder through the gears. It might be to close to call without taking it to a tuner for dyno results.

RE: THANKS FRED!!!!
I have no expirience with Fred's tunes. But I do know that my 06 pulls like a freight train with Brents 93 Jersey tune and C&L intake.
But I will say that even after having it for 5 months. The throttle is a bit too sharp for my taste. The lack of lag is great. But lag has nothing to do with how much the throttle opens with relation to foot movement. Sometimes I really like it as is, but lately like at night I just want a smooth ride and it is near impossible to stay in first long without bucking with any type of bumpy surface on the street.
But I have not addressed it with brent yet, and he did offer to change it anytime. So I just have to get to it.

Clubsfit,
Did Fred's tune cause the overactive knock sensor or do you think you have been riding around like that for a while?
Also what do fine tuning mean? Adjusting the timing, fuel, A/F??? What was the difference in power from Fred's tune with the knock sensor 'fixed' and the tune from the dyno shop? Where did you measure the A/F from? the tailpipe, cat, header?
Sorry for the Q's but just curious.

I bought the SCT tuner from Brenspeed. But after the install and a dyno pull - only 297 at the wheels.
Then - I went to Fastlane Motorsports in Benson NC for a dyno tune with the SCT.
330 at the wheels. (with just the dyno tune and a dyno tuner - Caleb!)
Form your own conclusions.
You may or may not get the numbers claimed by Brenspeed - or any other retailer - without a dyno tune.
(they changed their ad's language after my experience)
