2007 shelby vs 2006 saleen

RE: 2007 shelby vs 2006 saleen
IMO... Buy the Shelby. Carroll Shelby's name is gold. Steve Saleen couldn't carry Shelby's car wash bucket. The Shelby GT 500 is a definate collectable. The Saleen will also be, but not to the extent of a Shelby. If you can't afford a second car as a daily driver, do the Mustang world a favor and buy neither car. Only a neophyte would use a Shelby or Saleen as a daily driver. There should be a law against it.

I choose The GT 500 and I love the Car. The Saleen is a awesome car as well,it is a tough decision. The production numbers for the GT 500 will be low, about 16000 units for 07 and 08. Thus far, they haveonly built 5000 units. Since I bought mine back in September 07, I have seen three. How many have you seen?I have always wanted a Shelby so that was the main reason I choose the GT 500 over the Saleen. Also, I got it for MSRP. All for now, I look foward to the next gathering.

If I had the opportunity to buy a Shelby for MSRP (especially a Tungestn Grey one), I would have done it in a SECOND.You bring up a good point on the production numbers; Ford SAID they were going to increase production to 10k per year, but who knows if they'll actually hit that number.
I'm also looking forward to the next SoCal cruise, especially if we're lucky enough to get caught at a red light next to each other again...

huh?
really?
Chevys and Dodges have their plus's.
keep in mind you have to have at least 5 miles on the odo before the supercharger is allowed to kick in.
And yes, you have to drive a certain mileage (its either 5 or 5.5 miles) before the computer will allow the Whipple to produce boost.
