I can't afford painted stripes, so i am thinking vinyl. I think they look very good for the price. I found a set on ebay for 140 bucks, for 2-10inch wide strips front to back. For the people with vinyl stripes, how does vinyl hold up? Do they fade fast? Easy to put on? Lets say you take off the stripes down the road 3 or 4 years, will they leave fade marks? Easy to take off the 3M tape?And negitive effects of installing vinyl? If anyone out there has a picture of a Torch red mustang with 10inch wide white stripes feel free to post it. thanks

Consider Baltimore Street Mods for Stripes (that auction on ebay might be them) I had a local guy install mine he charged me 150 for 12" and rockers to be installed

I ordered my 10" stripes from Baltimore Street Mods, and was happy with the order. Quick shipping, and their customer service is great. I had a question, and emailed Rob on a Sunday about it. I've had my vinyl stripes for about 2 1/2 years and they are still just as good as new. I can't answer your question on how they will be in a few years and what the effects are if they are pulled off, but I can tell you I'm very satisfied with them at this juncture.

They were dealer installed and I don't have issues with bubbles or fading or anything else.

I would think that yes, you would notice if they were pulled off after a few years.

My 05's vinyl stripes are stock from Ford... but here in hot Arizona, where I park outside at work, the stripes look as good as new. I sometimes wipe, and leave on for a while, tire shine or armorall just to be safe.

I had vinyl installed when I first got mjy car due to cost.

My car is currently in the shop having them painted on.

Vinyl is an acceptable alternative if cost is that big of a factor.

My vinyl started getting some discolored spots, started cracking on the corners on the bumper line, etc.

It wasn't real noticeable but I saw every flaw that was developing.
