Just do what i'm doing,..give the wife the '06,
< I can still hear her saying "Order it the way you want, It's YOUR hot-rod" >

And let the search begin for the "70 Mach-1,
That I should have bought in the first place

I did a transmission swap on a 71 Charger. Some of the things that you will have to do, is change the flywheel, pedals, hydraulic cylinder, linkage from cylinder to throwout bearing, pressure plate, clutch, shifter, and if the is any variance between the length of the standard transmission compared to the auto you might even need a drive shaft. I agree with the majority, most likely not worth the trouble.

It can be done for $2300 if you install yourself. That is everything you need shipped.
