2ND SoCal Mustang Cruise (Joo Approved)
Once again we are setting up a cruise along the west coast through San Diego County. We would like as many people as possible to attend to make this even bigger than last year. The cruise will be on Saturday August 15 at 10AM. If you have any issues with the date, please let me know as soon as possible. The route starts at Belmont Park and goes up through La Jolla to Oceanside. Everyone is welcome to join for a great time.
I will personally hand out directions to anyone in need and will let everyone know what the plans are before we leave Belmont Park.
here is the route: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...26178&t=h&z=15

Last years cruise was very dissapointing the coordinators took off like bats out off hell and left all their guest behind, myself and a bunch of other guys ended up lost and coming from L.A and not knowing the area it really sucked for us all, I really hope this years will be better for your out of town guest, keep in mind that some people dont know your area, so I will definetly pass on this one have fun and good luck.

last year a few people did take off without the rest, and even though they weren't the coordinators, they confused everyone else. i had planned on talking to everyone before we left, but i never had a chance. so this time i will have maps printed out with directions as well as make sure everyone knows the route before we leave the parking lot.
sorry for the misunderstanding, but the ending point is the Plaza Camino Real Shopping center (i forgot to update the map)

Yea, last year was quite bad since there had been a series of maps that led to their two different malls.
If I could make a few suggestions on that map:
You should probably get rid of that circle in Cardiff
Stay on Coast Highway in Encinitas instead of going on Vulcan (just a road that trucks take so they don't have to go over the train tracks and steep hill. I hate going either way up those tracks with just a lowered car. And also it looks like it just gets back onto Coast Highway anyways, so what's the point?)
As said last year, avoid the carnage and confusion on the freeways by simply not going on them. Take a right at Carlsbad Village Drive/Elm Avenue and then make a left at El Camino Real up to Marron Road. Make a left at Marron Road and then take the first right and you're finally in the mall parking lot. To the immediate right there is a HUGE parking lot that nobody EVER parks in, even during Christmas time (there hasn't been an anchor store there in years) so anybody heading inside the mall need not worry about their motors being hit.
Just a few words of constructive criticism about the cruise from a guy that lives in the heart of Carlsbad and frequents those roads on those certain kinds of nights...
I just don't want it to end up like last time.
