It just need to go forward a little.
Doesn't mean they screwed the whole job yet.
It is the one area where it's hard to get tension sometimes.

If it was done by an upholstery shop, that would explain the imperfections, especially with an aftermarket top.

I guess it varies between dealerships, but my local dealership wouldn't touch mine. They sent it to a shop. Of course I showed up to pick it back up and they had forgotten to go get it, and the shop was closed and locked up...they couldn't reach the owner either.

They gave me a free rental, and they avoided saying much as I was extremely pissed. I began to ask myself if all the last-minute warranty work was worth the hassle. I'm glad it's all over now.

Yes. And they should still fix it.

Thanks for all the information and pictures. I will be printing everything and showing it to the dealership. Yes, this is the 2nd replacement top, both done at the dealership where I purchased the car. Both done under warranty at no cost to me. But much aggravation on my part. I am waiting for the replacement liner for behind the back seat to come in. Seems it mysteriously had about a 3" hole torn in it which the dealership hasn't admitted they did but there is no other explanation for it.
