Joe is right, Doug is a great guy and a class act but you all have to understand that your dealing with a "one man shop". That's it, just him, no shipping department, no employee's, no huge building full of tuning stuff, parts, & dyno. Its just him working out of his house trying to fill hundreds of orders, do tuning and having to drive an hour or two to do dyno tunes. Doug is the top auto tuner in the country so the demands on his time or high to say the least so if you want the best your going to have to wait for it. I'm sure once he can find some "good" help that's not just trying to rip him off his turn around time will pick back up to where it needs to be.

I for one will not let anyone else touch my car when it comes to custom tunes so I'm willing to wait any period of time for Doug. My car has NEVER ran better, and he has gone out of his way to ensure this many times.

I have heard from MANY people that he is the best, and that his tunes are a step up from brenspeeds. I have no reason to doubt that, and I am not knocking him or his business, I am happy that there are people like him that support and move our hobby forward. But at this point, my time is important too, and I am not able/willing to wait for the bama tune. In the future when I have more time, then definatly I will buy a tune from Doug. And in the meantime, I am sure I will be perfectly happy with the brenspeed.

I have always been curious about Bamachips. Does he have a dyno that he writes his tunes from? He is only about a 3 hour drive from me. Is he strictly an internet biz or would he dyno my car and tune it if I drove it down there?

Doug does not have his own dyno but, he does know lots of people who do have them and they let him log time on them when he needs it. So if you want to get a dyno tune by Doug its going to have to be something you & he can setup. He dyno tuned my car and its outstanding!! But as this thread states, "its going to take time to get it". Doug has spent years perfecting his tunes using his own Roush auto trans car as the test bed.

I have doug's mail order tunes and they have impressed me...if I were close to him I would be all over a custom dyno tune from him.

Its the holidays people....he is probably trying to spend time with his family for a couple days without touching the business stuff. He will burn himself out if he doesnt take some time for himself. He will get to you all as soon as he can i assure you.

good things come to those who wait...

most of you did not just get your cars a week ago,
you waited this long for a tune ,
a little more is not going to kill you
its easy for me to say I already have my bama tune

To those people that are waiting on their tunes or having problems getting replies, you need to contact your credit card or payment institution and request a refund, for your order immediately. You only have 45 days to dispute the transaction, after that he has your money and there is not much you can do about it either. I have ordered a tune that is a piece of junk and he will not return my emails either. No phone, what kind of buisness is this? Contact BBR, blow by racing and he will get you a tune immediately, Liz will answer the phone and is very helpful, they fixed my tune and I am most gracious for their help and understanding of my frustration over bamachips. It took 60 days to get my chip from Bama.
