Well, another week gone by and still no news from Bamachips. 70 days and counting since I placed my order. I think I've been more than patient with this situation. Personal problems or not, enough is enough!

I've reached a point where, even if I receive the items I will not use his tunes. I'll just take the hardware and call another tuner for my tunes.

To those thinking of doing business with that company keep this thread in mind, you just might save yourself some money and aggravation.

I'm in the same situation and I recommend the same advice.

there is a chinese proberb, "a man without a smiling face should not open shop."

the point is, if you have personal problems affecting your business, you shouldn't be taking people's money. he should have stopped taking orders a long time ago if he knew he couldn't fulfill them in a timely manner.

having said that, anyone who has remotely followed this forum or done any kind of research on bamachips knows this is how he runs his business, so, i don't think too many people feel sorry for you.

(btw, i love my brenspeed tune! the day i got it my car wouldn't start. my computer code had been updated at the dealership. called them and they e-mailed me three new tunes in a couple of hours.)

Can anyone with an account at Bamachips check if they can log in? I'm trying to check the status of my order and I get an error.

This ordeal is going from bad to worse. No phone, no email and now no web page......

I already filed a complaint with the BBB but still no answer, maybe it's time to file a complaint with the Alabama Attorney General's Office.

Hi flash. I just went to the site and tried and got "page cannot be displayed". I was able to log in to it earlier today, though. Probably just a server issue. His front page does note that is still taking orders for tunes.

If you check out the link I posted earlier in this thread you will see that another customer that disputed with paypal got a reply that paypal has ruled in his (the poster's) favor but that their is no money in bamachips account to retrieve. My own paypal dispute is supposed to end as of 12:00 tomorrow night. I am expecting the same result. "You win, but sorry - no money".

Well, I can't file a dispute anyways because my 45 days are up (going on 75 days now).

I'm still hopeful he'll come through, otherwise his business, which obviously relies on his reputation and not his expediency will be severely hurt.
