emailing him multiple times is only going to create a bigger backlog and doesnt help. You best bet is to call if you have his number. I wont give it out but i know its been posted on here before also.

He last login on another site that he is a vendor for was the 30th of Dec so about a week ago but that does surprise me as he doesnt post on the forums all that often. Hopefully now that the holidays are over things will get moving once again.

I did not start this thread with the intention to diminish Doug's reputation/business, I have heard a great many things about his tunes and products. I was just wondering if everyone else seemed to have this similar problem with their orders. Obviously, yes. I will most likely wait until the end of this month, if I don't hear anything, I will cancel. Brenspeed doesnt show that it does tunning for the V6 though. Hopefully Doug will come through.

Default Great News

Great news guys, Bamachips site has been put on hold so that he can catch up on all the orders without getting in new ones that way he will be back on track pretty soon. This happened a while back also and i believe every1 that had been waiting has been served within a week the site went on hold.

My question is why is it that half the people talking in this thread have less than 5 posts? It just seems kind of weird to me...and then the one guy keeps talking about another shop (like 3 times) and how we should get our tunes from them. Thread just seems a bit weird to me. Interesting place for people to have their first posts.

the site hold thing seems to be true, here is the wording on his front page.

We have suspended our parts sales for a few days in order to catch up on our current orders and emails. Please don't worry, we are still in business and still shipping orders in the order they are placed. We feel this is the best way to handle our current customer orders and emails and to catch up fromthe holidays and the orders we have pending. You may still contact us using our contacts page to find out any order status and/or tech support questions you may have.
Thank you,
Doug

Hopefully i can get my correct tunes now. Nothing says frustrating like paying for something in october of one year and having to look at the stuff sit there unusable in january of the next year.

Well I am one of those people but I can only speak for myself. Although I post a little more over at moddedmustangs than here, I still don't post all that much even there. I do, however, read at several forums including this one. And in this instance, this subject just happens to be one I am being affected by too so I posted. I have more to learn than to teach which is why I read more than I post. I hope I am not breaking any forum rules here but here is a link to a thread I started yesterday. On that board I post under the name of Humphry.

Stangahol - I am not trying to sway anyone towards any particular vendor, I am still waiting on a tune & intake from Doug. However, what you indicate is simply not true... Brenspeed does tunes for V6's and I am running one now. In fact, this was my first mod and I ordered 3 tunes for the 09 V6 for a totally stock configuration (yes, they do tunes for V6's that have intakes etc, too), but my point in telling you this is also that just this tune alone made a significant change in the car. I believe these brenspeed tunes to be well above a 'canned tune', they are performance tunes.
I have a post on here somewhere about my brenspeed tune and initially said, 'same car with subtle differences'. The more I drove it I discovered just how wrong I was with that initial statement. The tune for a totally stock V6 gave me the following: removed the throttle lag, seemed to give more power on both the top and bottom ends and improved shifting significantly on my auto. The shifts are really cool, firm and sequenced so you can get up quick.
The one thing I noticed on their tunes is that they do not have different versions fpr an octane such as Doug's 89 Torque vs his 89 Performance. I guess they simply stick tunes such as 89 Performance, 91 Performance, etc.
Following the brenspeed tune with a gear change in the car, I am very satisfied with how the car performs. With that said, I probably would be satisfied with a brenspeed tune for the CAI.

However, back on topic on this thread, I ordered tunes/CAI from Doug as I have read that his are awesome and in particular shifts for the auto - so that's what I'm waiting for from Doug. Brenspeed tunes def improved my shifting, but I want to experience how Doug's shift and compare.
If it all doesn't work out with Doug, I would go with abrenspeed tune for my 4.0 with a CAI....
Well, he at least has stopped taking orders, so hopefully he will catch up soon. I understand that some are knocking his delivery schedule, but again, he is very specific in his tunes and that the nature of the beast when one is trying to get very specific - it takes time. His deliveries have been slower than what he has been able to do before, but I'm hangin' in there....
