Daylight running lights??

Having the remote door unlock turn any more lights on than just the interior lights is asking for trouble. It's pretty easy for the unlock fob button to get inadvertently pushed, and if you're inside the house when that happens you could come out a few hours later to a car that won't start.

Ford has the ability to turn the DRLs on by their computer. When I imported my 06 Mustang from the US the Dealership turned them once they knew it was going to Canada. All Ford needed was the import number. I didn't need any relays or wiring. Watched them come on as they programmed through the OBD11 port.

The firs thing I do when I get in my car is turn my lights on, no matter what time of day or night. I want people to see me. When I go to work at 7:00 AM, I stop at a four way stop at the highway and look right. There is a slight bend about 1/4 mile down the road, and on the left side are tall trees that at certain times of the year cast a shadow over the road. I am sure the drivers on the highway can see perfectly. However, if they are in a gray car against the grey pavement, and light conditions are just right, I cannot see them. I don't want to pull out in front of them when they are going 60mph. If they have their lights on, I can always see them. Your DRLs are for the other guy, not you. Why do you think motorcycles have to have their headlights on all the time? It is because they are not as visible as a car, esp. if they don't have any lights on.
