I know the WebElectric ones are good but I don't think they are offered in LEDs.

The chase makes it look like a cop car.
The standard sequencers are DOT legal all 50 states.
The chasers are debatable....


You've seen sequential taillights before but these take the phenomenon a step further with LED and a simpler install. No modifications to your Mustang are necessary. Taillights sequence once during braking and continuously during turn signal operation.

I dont get the explanation of the chasers function during braking.
They chase once then what? All three bulbs then illuminate indicating braking?
Thats stupid.
At least they could have included a brake switch wire to avoid the chase during
braking....

I bought a plug and play kit for the stock taillights and bulbs that lets you select stock, sequential, or chase. the kit is awesome and installed in less than 30 minutes start to finish and truly was plug and play. it came with all new sockets for the factory lamps and the main power wire to the fuse box with the fuse, I could do it in 15 minutes if I did it again.

the little brain for it just hides in the trunk and has a jumper to select the mode you want. the brain also automatically adjusts the timing of the pattern to match the blinker rate, some kits don't and you have to manually adjust it. I picked the chase pattern since I think it looks cool and not everyone has it. if I ever get in trouble for it I can just change to the sequential mode I guess but I'm not too worried about getting pulled over for using my blinkers

on my kit when you hit the brakes the lights will go on in the pattern you have selected and stay on until you release the brakes, then they'll turn off in the same pattern. if you have sequential mode they'll just all go off at the same time. if you have chase mode they'll go off from the middle out. I guess it's a little hard to explain but if you look at the animation I posted just imagine the lights staying on constant (not blinking) until you let off the brake.

But you still seem to need to supply the unit with ground and 12VDC?

Thats fine and dandy, but the OP wants LED taillights.
I also see some sort of calibration adjustment indicating no self timing adjustments.
WebElectrics all have self adjusting timers nowdays.

yeah I had to run a 12V wire from the fuse panel to the brain. not sure why but it took 5 minutes and all the connectors were already in place, easy.

I mentioned my kit since it works well and is super easy to install. you could get LED replacement lamps for it if you wanted and swap them at the same time if you really want LED.

I really like the meter4it chasers, but when I bought I decided I was just to lazy to splice, and I went with the web electrics. To bad they didnt have the one 157 listed a bit earlier.
