Ugly parking sticker issue
#21
Ok, lots of good ideas. The rules here are pretty strict. The tag has to be placed on the rear window or bumper and the car has to be parked with the back facing out. The parking guy rides by quickly on a Segway and looks for cars without tags.
In the end, I decided to go with the magnetic solution. I found some adhesive magnetic sheets sized to fit business cards at the office supply store. I used 3 of these and trimmed to fit. However, I forgot that the bumper is made out of plastic. Doh! I can stick it on the back panel if I take the magnetic black trim piece off. It's a high price to pay but worth it not to have the ugly red parking sticker on there, I think. I can just peel it off and on in 2 seconds. That's a lot easier than crawling into the back seat to reach the window. In retrospect, the clear static sheets would be a better idea because I could use it on the bumper.
