Quick question
this is what i'm here for.. we got yer back man.. and hey, it honestly might not show you anything, but worth a try..
and i'm sorry.. but i actually LoL'd at the map-light / dim switch debacle.. i know someone who'd done that before.. took them a week and 2 batteries to fix it.. ha ha..
but yes.. 2 jobs will do that.. or night shift.. which is what i blame all my moments on! keep us posted!
^ you hit the nail on the head man, I work night shift as well so I think I'm entitled to a few more "special" moments. But after I turned off the light, my security system is no longer messaging me. I never was given a manual for the security system so maybe that was a message to let me know I left a light on, but why the passenger door? hahah.. Oh well, who knows, i'm blaming stupidity and casper on this one.

It would explain a lot if you could find out exactly where they tapped into your electrical system. I don't have the wiring diagram open but the fact it was one door sounds like they tapped into that specific door switch. I do a bit of troubleshooting at work on occassion and it's a biatch when the schematics and wiring diagrams don't reflect what's installed.
Just wait until you get to be about my age; those "special moments" becomes "frequent special moments".

that IS odd.. but caspers the FRIENDLY ghost.. lol
glad its sorted out man..
Ok so I washed my car today but other than that I did nothing and now my map lights won't shut off and my alarm keeps going off (just a warning not all out) and sending me a message that my passenger door is open and its def. not. I detached the harness for the lights and even went as far to sit there beside my car after I locked it and waited for it to go off. 2 minutes later, it went off and absolutely nothing happened. I'm going to go to the shop where I had my alarm installed and have them take a look at it but other than that, any suggestions?
Sometimes the easiest solution is the most overlooked.
I completely relate to how working night shift can make the simplest tasks seem so difficult. I'm glad to see you figured it out!~Natasha
