2006 Mustang GT Dyno results totally stock
Hello everyone,
I was curious what horsepower and torque everyone is getting out of their 06 Mustang GTs.
I just got my bone stock 06 GT dyno'ed and the results were 275.8 RWHP and 295.9 RWTQ (on a Dynojet). Assuming 15% loss in the drivetrain that's 320 HP and 340 TQ at the crank which about 10% more than Ford is advertising.
Is this typical? I searched the board and found a fair amount of results for the '05 GTs and my numbers seem a bit better. Also there was a stock 06 Roush Stage 2 at the Dyno Days and we had almost the same numbers. Both of our cars had around 3500 miles with the only thing not OEM being the engine oil.

That would seem normal for a dyno jet. A mustang dyno is typically going to show a lower rating.

Interesting but I always thought my mustang had more than the ones said here. When I installed the CAI and the tune I really didn't notice much difference. I was thinking that my car had an excellent tune to start with.

Heres a couple Dynos of my 2005 GT
A little odd and Im gonna take it back in for a better tune.
Without the spray its just over 300RWHP on a Mustang Dyno,
With Spray it adds like 17HP ,but the Torque goes nuts! lol Fun Fun though!

I know the carbon trap in the intake tube is gone on the 2006s. I looked for it, not there. That and a bit more agressive tune seem to explain why the 2006s are a bit powerful bone stock than the 2005s.
Anyway, thats my theory.
