Radio face kit?
Has anybody tried this or is it even poss? I have 2011 v6 and as everybody on here knows you have to purachase an exspensive after market face kit in order to put in a double din after market radio. Ordering from Ford the trim kit for navagation but use it for the double din . The part from ford is $91. I understand that it will still have all the controls for the radio but just not hook it up, and still be able to keep the a/c and heat . Dont have sync so not worried about that. Just want to be able to put my Keenwood with dvd and subs back in without paying a fourtune.

No, it won't work. The reason the aftermarket dash kits have the DDIN on the bottom is because on the top part of the dash you have a black plastic piece that houses the A/C parts and that would block off any head unit. It won't fit. Here's a pic to give you an idea:
