Default putting 351w in a 95stang need Info.!

hey im 16years old en i just got my first mustang a couple days ago it's a Red 1995 Mustang GT, it has no motor or trans. or driveshaft, but i got a 351w that i've been rebuilding at my house that im planning to put in it. I don't know a whole lot about engines en this is kind of a learning experience for me but i've always loved mustangs so it should be well worth it. any tips or advice would be helpful because i haven't heard of many people putting a 351w in a 95 GT before en i kno i have to change some things for the fit, also i need some more hp from my motor en im not sure if i should replace some things like pistons if im gonna have around 350hp

If you want to do a cheap decent street motor, buy a scat 3.85 stroke crank, use stock 351w rods from your motor (install a set of ARP bolts in them), and buy a set of forged 302 pistons. With the pistons I would buy either a set of probe, JE, or even a set of trw's. You can do the whole roatating assembly for just less than a $1000. Find a set of decent TFS twisted wedge heads for aroudn $1000, and either a TFS intake or a GT-40 style intake. If you have any other questions on the swap I can give answer pretty much any question you have. I have done alot of these swaps plus own two S-351's and a 95 Cobra R. Just e-mail me at sshugart@hotmail.com

Was the car originally a v8?

I am not sure about the sn95's but the foxes had some other things that were different between the v8 and 4cyl cars.
Trans crossmember
Trans gearing
rear end housing.

Just a few things to consider with the added power of the 351w.

Do you already have the 351w rebuilt and ready to install?

I have info on a fox body swap on my website, which should be pretty similar to what your doing.

Good luck, and congrats on getting hooked on stangs at a young age.
Building a motor is the best way to learn about it.
