Is one of the reasons that our engines last so long on boost is because they are all iron?

Totally stock internals; vortech running 12 psi for 2 years, 200+ WOT track passes, 42k miles on the engine with no issues. A good tune is critical.
Those 4.0's are tough.

I second that, running a similar setup. 54k miles, daily driven.

I'm starting the install of my turbo tomorrow. It wont be done for a few weeks, as I am just installing the intercooler and the cold side piping, as I figure out when I can finish the rest of the kit

Default Same idea

I have a 2008 Mustang that I’m looking at doing the same to for the same reason, mine is an automatic though, I do all my own work on the car and keep hearing it’s not worth it to swap from an automatic to a manual… I REALLY want a 6 speed though and don’t want to get rid of the car to get it… thoughts?
