BBK
IS THE BBK INTAKE GOOD? I RAN INTO SOMEONE ON THE STREET WHO HAD ONE IN HIS GT AND IT SOUNDED LOUD. HE SAID HE FELT A BIG DIFFERENCE WITH IT. WHAT I ORIGINALLY WANTED TO GET WAS A K&N INTAKE. SHOULD I STICK WITH THE K&N?

RE: BBK
I have a BBK on mine with the fenderwell-mounted intake. It was on there when i bought it. The only downside is that the inlet tube in the engine bay is metal so it can heat the air up, although it doesn't make that much of a difference.

RE: BBK
It really doesn't heat the air up at all. The air is moving at to high of a rate of speed that it could be affected by the warm pipe.

RE: BBK
I would go with the K&N FIPK gen 2... with my setup I ran a 14.25 and then I took off the right headlight so air goes direcly into the box and I did 14.10-14.19 almost consistantly... then when I was done racing it took 2 minutes to put the healight back on

RE: BBK
I'm about to put a BBK on my '98 GT vert. They look smokin under the hood. I also have the Accufab plenum and Ford SVO TB which work well together. My advise, as above, is to do the intake shuffle......plenum, TB and CAI. By the way, I have a Densecharger CAI from the MAF forward for sale if anyone is interesed. $75 which includes the new K&N type filter. Only difference is you use the stock rubber tubing from the MAF to the intake.
