Mustangs are one of the rare cars that get stock "headers. they just don't look pretty.
Shorties will only make your car look better, tiny bit of sound, but no noticable performance. Waste of $300
Not to mention it'a a pain in the *** to put them on. You'd be surprised on how rusty bolts get in short a time
If you do, go with the long tube headers with an aftermarket midpipe w/cats. you can use your stock mufflers.
wtf dude most of the info you say on this site is wrong. they came with manafolds not headers.

I just looked at the picture and I can tell those are BBKs, cuz they look just like mine. I can tell too because on the one off the the left you can see the bend in the pipping, which BBK accomodates for in their passanger side header

Shiny huh? They look so good. BBKs are definitely worth it, fitment was perfect and they look/sound real real good.

everyone bashes shorties but if you cant afford/dont want to pay the high price of installing LT's get Bassani midlengths. on a npi car they've showed 14whp increase. they install like shorties and you can use a regular midpipe and it will work with the stock one.
Someone correct me if I am wrong but with the midlength headers you have to get a special midpipe for them, otherwise they would be the same length as shorties if you could use a regular midpipe, which would not make them MID length. Now, if you think that midlengths are cheaper than LT's I would love to know where you are getting your prices from. I paid $490 for my ceramic coated LT's fom BBK and $140 for the o/r h pipe. I haven't found midlengths for cheaper than that anywhere.
