Gears should be your first priority, but if you don't want them - i'd say headers, short shifter (if you have a 5spd), stall (for automatic) and/or tb/plenum. I was never a fan of "outside" work because i like my car to not stand out so much until i slam the gas pedal, but thats me. You could also do suspension work, adjustable shocks/struts, subframe connectors, Lower control arms, and springs... depends on what avenue you decide to go...

This is a total "DUH". Go with nitrous. For 450-500 bucks you can add over 100 horsepower, and you dont have to worry about gas mileage because you can turn it off. Plus, if you get a blower in the future, you can still use it. Nitrous is great.
