You can try all of those things if you are realy bored and have nothing else to do. But you can do all of that all day long and the alarm will not go off. It is a PAT system which stands for Pasive Anti Thieft system. Which means it prevents your car from being stolen and not broken into. Get a buddy with a mustang and use his key to try to start your car and see what happens.

Probably not the best idea......
You could also read you manual......it will tell you under what conditions your alarm will go off.

yeah my alarm goes off half the time..pretty much late at night to wake up the neighbors when someone pulls the handle when the doors locked..but it doesnt do it during the day lol

01-04GT = no alarm as stated above.
The manual actually states that pressing the lock button once locks the doors. Pressing it a second time hits the horn to let you know that the doors are really really locked.
I always make it beep to try and fool the punks in the parking lots into thinking I really have an alarm.
