really hp loss? ive never heard of that from a thermostat engines always run best when cold and cooled down maybe your right though who knows anyone else have an opinion on it??????

My opinion just go with the 180.
All the 160 will do is it will take longer for your engine to warm up.
In the long run like if you were cruising around all night your temp at the end would be the same.
If there is a advantage to running a little cool for a short while, I dont know about it.
Maybe some drag racers in hear can chime in on that one.

ill go 180 then ... i dunno everytime i dyno any car i have owned after we tune well let it sit for a hour or so with some ice get it freezing cold and it will pull atleast a minimum of 10 more hp but that could just be from letting all the heat soaked parts cool down and not the ACTUAL engine itself being colder that is something i will have to ask around more about
