PI head swap, then s/c, what shpould i do
ok guys, if i went foir the PI head swap, and then i wanted to super charge it, or turbo it, what kind of pistons, heads, crank and cams should i get, lower compression, higher compression heads?
and also, if i completely re-built my cams, like rockers, camshaft, rods, springs, valves, on the original heads, would i be able to transfer the to the PI heads if i was to go that path? thanx for everyones input

If you want to supercharge, you'll definitely want lower compression pistons. PI heads on a non-PI engine will bump the compression. If you're going FI, you should definitely rebuild the bottom end with forged rods and pistons and a Cobra crank.
Non-PI heads can't accept all the same cams PI heads can. They are limited on the lift they can accomodate. If you want to do all that, your better off waiting until you get PI heads and doing it then.

your best bet is to find an engine builder in your are, or work with a company like VT engines who can sell you a complete long block, a shortblock, a head package, whatever you need. VT engines are some of the best out there, check them out. you'll need low comppession pistons, and a new crank and stronger rods. buying a new block not only gives you this, but a stronger than stock block, wich are limited to 600 hp. if you have the cash and want to do it all at once, find a local shop that does mustangs, and tell them what you want to do. most good shops work with VT engines, comp etc....
