I have a 98 Cobra and have the exact same remote that everyone on ebay sells for a 98 Mustang. I used this remote on my old taurus SHO 2 year's ago and I tried it, the locks cycle, but nothing happens when I push a button, so I'm thinking that the remote is wrong. Can someone with a 98 Mustang list all three part numbers on back? Would it be different for a Cobra?

just go in your trunk, take a paper clip, reset the remote thing and set that remote to your car. It's on the left hand side of your trunk on the sidewall. you'll see like 2 metal prongs sticking out of a clip. just touch both pieces with a paperclip and you'll hear your doors lock, then hit a button on your remote, your doors should lock/unlock. Wait 1 minute, then start your car, turn it off and the remote should work.

Yes, I tried that, nothing happens when I press a button on the remote. Can someone here please post some numbers so I don't waste $25 on the wrong remote?
