Default BBK Catted X-Pipe

I'mthinking about a BBK Catted X-Pipe.
You would think they would be a good match for BBK LT's, but nobody seems to have them.
Are they any good? Just ok? Crap?

I have one. I couldn't get it to tighten up along the driver's side manifold becuase the factory stud had some stupid flange on it, so I drove around for a month with a leak. had to take it to a muffler shop and get them to change out the manifold stud for one without a flange, and now it's all good. catted X + magnaflows = sweet and unique, doesn't sound anything at all like flowbastards.

I dunno if I'd recommend it because of the stud issue, but nobody else seemed to have an issue like that, so I don't know wtf my problem is.

Yeah that strange, almost sounds like they gave you the wrong part.
I would like to buy these because they sell BBK LT's and BBK X-pipes for New Edge mustangs at my local Canadian Tire store.
They're alot cheaper than my local speed shop.

ive heard that they dont sound as good because of the design of the crossover, something i remember reading while trolling at mustangexhaust.com

Ok thanks. I think I'll try to find a sound clip of one and maybe do some reading while I'm there.

the crossover is almost half H, half X, the way it is made. most x pipes have no piece going straight across, but the bbk has a slight straight part. hard to explain, try to find pics and you'll see the difference right away. I don't think it sounds bad at all.

You have a sound clip? I have magnaflow mufflers on now, and am looking for a decent sound from a midpipe. I don't want something LOUD but loud--it's my daily driver cruising at 65 most of the time. My '05 is LOUD and I only take that out to terrorize the neighborhood.

no sound clip, but I don't think it'll matter very much which x pipe you choose as far as volume. the magnaflows and x pipe are about as quiet as any aftermarket setup I've ever heard in person. still loud at WOT, but it's not like it is uncontrollable like some exhaust setups (i.e., borla stingers). if you don't hammer it, it won't be that loud.
