Rims and tires.....OMG

RE: Rims and tires.....OMG
I've bought 2 sets of wheels from www.wheelreplicas.com
First was a set of bullitts, light silver scenters with a machined lip, $399. plus $85. for shipping.
2nd are yet to go on the car. Chrome FR5's. Both sets are 17"x9"/10.5" and have Sumitomo 275/40's and 315/35's.
They are made in China. I was a repeat customer so I get the wheels dropped from $639. to $579. Got the tires from them also for a total shipped of $1110. with the lug kit added free(again repeat). Mounting will bring the cost to $1200.
Yeah if you look colse enough the chrome is a little wavy. The passenger door has a little dent at the crease and some paint is missing but it's a car, not a museum piece. I have more important things in my life than the Stang, imagine that! Also they are clear coated but that is excellent. According to the instructions DO NOT USE ANYTHING but soap and water! Clear can be easily damaged by the chemicals in the cleaners that are sold for wheels at local stores. I highly recommend WheelReplicas and they always run specials with wheels and tires together for less than $975. Mark

RE: Rims and tires.....OMG
Hm these arent the highest end tires or anything but would these just be smarter to get because of the price and free mounting and balancing? How would this size look on the 18x10 in back? I have never heard of this brand but perhaps u guys have..

Or would these tires be better? I know there as expensive as the others but i would still get free mounting and balancing... I know that nittos are good but i want a tire that will last? Im not sure what the 300 treadwear means? So how long would http://www.americanmuscle.com/nitto-...285-35-18.htmllast me? Sorry im just looking at all my options.

RE: Rims and tires.....OMG
I bought the wheels I have now on my car off of ebay from OE wheels... I have no complaints, they are very nice and were $502 shipped. But they gunmetal and chrome is very to have perfect. So if your going that route i guess it would be good to spend your money on a something that has a good reputation for there chrome...
I just bought some black saleen wheels from OE wheels on ebay and there in the mail now... Im shopping for tires also... My friend has 255 up front and 285 in the back on his 18x9 and 18x10 wheels... the 255 look way too thin and the 285 look alright, but i am now convinced to atleast go 295 in the back and mabye 275 up front. these are the tires i am considering. not too expensive.

Falken 452 ....... 265x35 and 285x35 total comes to about $736 with free shipping total to your door... I was going to order them but now i think i want 295's or bigger.
Toyo Proxes T1-R 295x35 and 275x35 not sure what the total is but this is the cheapest tire place i have found on the net... but there shipping is $88 for 4 tires.... so. but I think im going to end up getting these.

RE: Rims and tires.....OMG
I suggest going to discoutntiredirect.com or tirerack.com and reading all the replys and opinions on the tires.... that will help you decide. I was considering sumotimo because there so damn cheap but the replys talked me out of them.. So far the Falkens sound the best. I cant find replys for the toyos though.

RE: Rims and tires.....OMG
Hmm.. well i read the nitto replys and they were all good. And even though they are only 285 in back i can deal with it because of the free mounting and balancing. Well i guess my last question before ordering them on monday is has anyone experienced/heard anything bad about the nittos? Even though they have low treadwear im hoping to get 20,000 miles out of them or so...
