Cam cap question

Mine is apart right now, but it runs to the back of the driver's side head. Goes into a bracket then into a rubber hose. The braket is bolted to the back of the driver's side head. The rubber hose goes into the firewall on the passanger's side. I'm thinking it is a return hose for the heater core.
