that would be funny if I was taking corners at 60 in the rain however 60mph straight line on the highway after it has only been raining for maybe fifteen minutes really isnt that unreasonable and when the *** end just comes out from under you even with 50% tread left ya kinda wonder maybe I shouldnt have went with a full set of tires for $350. I had michelin's on it before the sumi's and even with belts showing in the rears I never had issues. If you havent had issues great, I'm not a 60 year old lady in a mustang I drive my car how I see fit and if I smash it up then I will just go get another one and try it again.

do not buy these tires I had them on my 96 and as you can see in my sig it is getting parted out. 50% worn and I hydroplaned and put into a wall at 60. These tires suck cow nuts
I've had my Sumitomo 285 18's for about 4 months now with no issues. Yea they don't hook up as well as the more expensive brand...but then again I'm not driving 60mph around corners in the rain on 1/2 dead tires.

They are cheap, but they are good enough for daily duty. I have them and they grip all righ, but they aren't the best at the track. I break them loose very easily. My best 60' on them has been a 2.197, and the worst was in the 2.6 range. If you are looking for traction, look elsewhere, but if you are just looking for a tire to get you around you'll be fine.
Hell, I spin them off idle with my non-pi and 3.73's... [:@][:@][:@][:@] grip all right.
As in they grip all right for daily duty. If you mean grip performance, they suck. I have 4.30's and the thing wants to kick out on me going into 3rd on a hard shift. Sorry for the confusion.
