yes, much better. but it is a little technical and unless you plan to do some modding i would say there are other things you can do first for more power.
what mods do you have right now?

For other mods you could do a better clutch, a lightweight flywheel, underdrive pullies, a tuneand lower your car for better handling and looks.

Waste of money. Get PI heads/intake for the biggest upgrade. Not sure how much they cost now but you can probably get the intake/heads used for somewhere in the neighborhood of $500+ish.

That link is very complete. You have to look around to find a good deal on some used stuff. I paid $700 shippedon my PI heads, cams, valve covers, new intake manifold, all new gaskets and seals, new head bolts, new water pump, new timing chain tensioners, and new Melling oil pump. Just keep an eye out for good deals, or you can piece a kit together yourself. If you want to make it easy you can just buy the EBay kit.

I did the pi intake swap, its an awesome deal for just over $200. you can feel it pull better up top. Plus if you have the plastic coolant crossover, yull get an aluminum one so no worries of crackin (which is why i did mine)
