Yesterday morningIgot in my car and went to start it and it turned over and fired right up and stayed onfor asecond or two then shut off. I then started the car again and everything was fine. Then at lunch the car was cooled off again and same thing. Fires right up for a second and then shuts off. Then the second time starting it everything was fine. Anyone have any suggestions as to what is going one. I do not have any CEL and when the car startsfor the first time it does not hickup oranything. It starts like normal and then just shuts right off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either Your PATS took a **** or your fuel pump is gone. There could be more possibilities.

 

What exactly is the PATS. And for the fuel pump, does it have some type of primer right before starting that could be going? Thank you in advance for the response.

 

Does the car shut right off.. or does it sound like it is struggling to stay idling?

 

It shuts right off and then I have to restart it. After the initial startup the car runs fine.
