Default Serpentine Belt Problems

I have a vortech v-2 trim blower on my 99 cobra and it seems like its going through belts like boxers. every couple months itll start to sequel especially when the blower starts to spool. its a gates k061130. its been replaced as of 7/08. itll stop squealing if i put belt grease on so i know its not a pulley. whats goin on with this haha

Every once in a while my belt jumps a rib after I lay into the boost. My belt is not looking good nowadays. I had to call Procharger yesterday to find out what size belt it takes. I left my post it at work with the info on it but I think its the same size belt as yours. I don't have problems with it squealing though. Maybe its that 500rwhp you have haha.

Just some ideas: A new belt tensioner spring for the squealing. Check to make sure all of the pulleys are properly aligned for the belt jumping a rib.

My belt lasted 15,000 miles before I had to replace it and I lost a spacer (Procharger idler pully) changing the belt which got my pulleys off. I discovered it because the idler pulley was rubbing against the generator.
