spark advance using the Diablosport

RE: spark advance using the Diablosport
I agree that you should add fuel to avoid lean detonation where your piston becomes part of the fuel mixture! I also keep my Diablo in the car just in case I get a bad tank or whatever. The timing graph is hard to make any sense from because in addition to load, MAF, throttle position, RPM you also have things such as EGR. As I understand it, when EGR kicks in at cruise, even more timing could be added. Then, YOu drop 'er down in 3rd or 4th and mash on it, EGR would go off and timing would be decreased I think. This is just my theory of why the timing graph looks so very whacked when doing datalogging. Too many variables.

ive got a predator tuner and i raised my timing the first two tanks i had w/it i heard nothign but now i hear a slight wine at low rpms in 5th i added octane boost to 93 and it is still doing is that considered detonation?

yea me too it only makes the wine for a second either as soon as i shift to 5th and sometimes when i lightly touch the gas in fifth and it only does it for a second then it sounds fine who knows
