My understanding that if you hit your rev limiter it won't hurt your car which is why we have not in the first place. It is not ideal but this is my understanding.

Your understanding is wrong. When you hit the rev limiter the computer cuts fuel. If your WOT and making boost and fuel gets cut out your engine will go boom.

I can't count how many times I have hit the rev limiter the last 3 years since I have forged the shortblock. The tune also pulls timing

While this is true, I think we are talking about a car that's not running boost.

Wouldn't a rev limiter cutting fuel kind of be on the bad side of things like TC cutting fuel if you hadn't had it disabled?

Sticking to a car that's N/A though, how can hitting the rev limiter be bad?

I'd rather hit the rev limiter at X rpms than not have a limiter, and go to X rpms + another grand and blow it up.

(I don't think you're saying the rev limiter is a bad thing here, I'm just trying to clarify for others....)
