sounds like that could be it like said befor hope it's not the intake ford used all plastic on there intakes and i had just replaced mine it craked on the very front of the intake on the underside of it. if it was leaking there you would see a pool of cooland on the top of the block underneth the intake aswell

Radiator and intake are easy to change, like cliffy said I'd rather be changing an intake manifold than a head/head gasket.

no deff. not the intake and i didn't find any coolant leaking around the car either thats the thing, and the needle on temp guage never moved from the middle when it got there, so i don't think its the water pump, i changed the thermostat just to be safe so im gona take the radiator to a shop and have them pressure test it nd make sure its the radiator

ok so i changed the oil since idk when the last oil change was done by the previous owner so i did it since the oil on the dipstick was low so figured that couldn't hurt so no more smoking whatsoever but the engine is still over heating after about idk 10 min of idling it was fine right in the middle but when i started to make it idle around 3k rpm it started to make the needle move over to the H side, my only conclusion would be the radiator ran bc its making a rele nasty sound like something is hitting it but would that cause the engine to run hotter??
