ok so if i was to go to a junkyard to pull heads of a lincoln, which lincolns have DOHC heads that would bolt up to the 4.6 block?

As long as the engine is a 4.6L or a 5.4L it will bolt up. SOHC or DOHC

hay goto wynne speed shop. you will see their advertisment (if thats how you spell it) the the 5.0 or the mm&amp;ff mag.. they got a set of ported pi heads for 1000 bucks. i installed them on my 98. while they are off you might want to think about cams the comp cams stage 2 work great. plus you'll need a lower intake and a s**t load of gaskets. if you need a parts list just e-mail me and i will send it to you.

they will bolt on man, but there is more to it than just swapping heads. it was a while ago, but on some corral forum, they were talking about it, and it wasnt really even worth it to try. they said just swap motors, instead of just the heads.</P>

WHat you want to go from SHOC to DOHC? If you do. You can't A DOHC block is different form a SHOC block. It will never work.</P>
