Default noise coming from rear right tire?

I'm not sure what it could be. It sounds like large offroad tires going down the freeway. It's coming from my right side rear tire and it gets louder as i get on the gas. It's a lot louder with the windows up than down. Randomly started doing this. Thanks for the help.

run your hands around the tire to feel for any "bumps" if you find one it is a tire separting and getting ready to blow. if not you could have a wheel bearing going bad.

oh yeah either way get it fixed like now.

no i've already checked the tire, it's seems fine. From what i read, the wheel bearings make a grinding metal on metal noise when they go bad.

Ya i plan on fixing it as soon as i figure out what it is.

which side is the noise on? try rotating the rear tires, if the noise follows the tire to the other side then it is the tire. if not then it is more likely a bearing or something elss

Yeah your tire could be knotted up,even on the sidewall defintiely get it fixed ASAP.UM i think the wheel bearing makes a kind of metal roaring noise that you can hear pretty good at lower speeds

Definitely get the bearings checked. I had a "tire rubbing" noise coming from the left side and turned out to be the carrier bearing. The dealer tried to tell me it was the brakes, go figure you'd think I'd learned not to listen to a dealer by now.

did you try rotating the rear tires? that will tell you if its the tire or the rear end.

i have the same problem in my new 00 gt.....i hear it on the driver side rear....not sure if its on the passenger side.....it does it especially when taking off...1st and 2nd gears mainly.....

but i also need to put brakes on all 4.....

so the roaring noise, i do not like it at all, u all say its the bearings going out? what would that cost to be replaced and how hard would it be to do?
