case reopened, lol, driving makes all the difference. If me and2000GT4.6 were to accelerate at the same rate and our motors were similarily efficient, the gas mileage would be the same, BUT he would not rev as high as I would to get that same acceleration rate, nor would his engine work as much. On the other hand, if we go wide open throttle, he is going to get worse gas mileage than I will because he is burning more fuel, or even at the same RPMs, he is going to burn more fuel than I will, because at those RPMs, he is forcing more air into his motor, and in that case, more fuel, than my NA is. Trust me man, its pure math and physics, more power=more fuel burned. The reason people with power adders can get good gas mileage is the way they drive.

my gas mileage was like that before i tuned my car. with the 93 tune, full bolt ons and gears i get ~300mi to a tank, and i only run BP or Shell fuel.
I prefer shell. Gives the nicest tone. Shell 87, for me. I need to get a nice tune, though, then I'll be running premium.
how does the brand of fuel effect your gas mileage??? If i was to go twin screw blower like a kenne bell would i net lower gas mileage than a n/a or a centri blown car? I would think the car would be more efficient because your getting up to speed with less pedal. And the comment about the fuel system, how would that effect mileage? I thought with 42lb injectors your mileage should remain the same untill you stomp on it.

I get around 22-24mpg by skipping gears. I don't know if this was mentioned as I haven't read the entire post but ya... 1st, 3rd, 4th in the city around 30mph. How much is everybody paying anyway?

Wink Crappy gas mileage

Bought my 2002 Mustang GT brand new and put 32,000 miles on it. I never got good gas mileage and was wondering if there was something wrong with my GT which led me to this forum. I have no mods to my car, just poor gas mileage which I now believe is normal.
